ベースには淡い黄色で、明るい赤、紫、黄色とカラフルな御所車のデザインが施された素敵な着物となっています。
経糸・緯糸共に平織りのステンシル柄です。

御所車（ごしょぐるま）とは天皇や貴族など、高貴な人が乗る牛車の名称で、応仁の乱以後、宮中の儀式にだけ用いたことからこの名がつきました。優雅な平安時代への憧れから生まれた王朝文様の代表のひとつで、江戸時代に入って盛んになった文様です。
その雅やかな風情は現代でも好まれており、婚礼衣装や振袖など、晴れの日の着物に描かれる高貴な柄となってます。


ヴィンテージ品で状態も良いです。
非常に小さな汚れがありますが、しつけ糸もついている事から使用されてないと思います。

Vintage light-yellow hitoe meisen kimono with a colorful design of goshoguruma (imperial ox-carts). This plain weave unlined kimono (hitoe) features a classic design of goshoguruma and stylized clouds. A goshogurama is an ox-drawn cart used by the imperial family in ancient Japan. The designs are rendered in bright red, purple, and yellow with similarly vibrant shadows. The design is stencil applied to both the warp and weft yarns (heiyo gasuri).

Condition: collectible,good, wearable
Material is in very good condition for its age. Some very small stains but nothing obvious. There are shitsuke-ito indicating that it was likely not worn.

Meisen refers to a weaving/production technique where the design is transferred to the threads using stencils before weaving. This technique optimized the production process and allowed to create affordable kimonos with colorful and complex designs. Meisen became popular in the early twentieth century. Although the designs are stencil applied they keep the distinctive feel of kasuri (ikat) woven splash patterns. In general Meisen kimono look more modern as a result of the bold designs and colors.
