ヴィンテージ銘仙着物
着物全体にクロスハッチラインデザインが施されてます。
ベースカラーは濃い緑色でラインは、白、グレー、ピンクと
輪郭がぼやけた典型的な銘仙着物となってます。


ヴィンテージ品（1940-1950）で着物自体の状態はとてもいいです。
外側に小さな汚れがあり、明るい部分に多少の変色があります。
また 着物にはしつけ糸があるのでおそらく着られていないと思います。

Vintage green silk Meisen kimono with large cross-hatched line design. The base color is dark green with an overall cross-hatched line design in white, gray, and pink. The design is applied to both the warp and weft, creating the fuzzy/brushed look typical for Meisen. The lining is in white cotton and pink silk which is typical for kimono of this age.

Age: vintage (1940-1950)
Condition: collectible, in very good condition
The kimono is in good condition for its age. There are small stains on the outside and some discoloration in the lighter parts. The kimono has shitsuke (basting) threads indicating that it likely has not been worn.

Meisen refers to a weaving/production technique where the design is transferred to the threads using stencils before weaving. This technique optimized the production process and allowed to create affordable kimonos with colorful and complex designs. Meisen became popular in the early twentieth century. Although the designs are stencil applied they keep the distinctive feel of kasuri (ikat) woven splash patterns. In general Meisen kimono look more modern as a result of the bold designs and colors.
